Water Heaters for Abilene, TX

Whether your water heater is leaking and in need of repairs or you need a new one installed, the team at Rocky's Plumbing & Backhoe Service can help. Our plumbing contractors come to you with the knowledge and expertise needed to get the job done.

Years ago, water heaters would last around 20 years without any required maintenance. Newer models, however, have a life span of about 10 years, depending on the usage. They tend to last a long time without problems, but as soon as there are clear problems, you don’t want to put them off. This could cause more expensive repairs or replacements. Catching leaks early on will help you reduce the number of repairs necessary.

If you are experiencing little to no hot water, rusty colored water, rotten egg odors, or leaks, contact us for repairs.

Conventional Water Heaters

The most popular type of water heating system for the home, conventional water heaters have a ready-to-use reservoir of hot water. When you turn on your tap, already hot water travels to where you need it. While this is happening, cold water filters into the bottom of the tank, ensuring that you almost always have hot water available.

Tankless Water Heaters

Tankless water heaters heat water directly without the use of a storage tank. When water is turned on, cold water travels the pipes and then is heated by a unit installed in close proximity to where the water is being used. Tankless water heaters have a constant supply of water but does impact flow rate.

Heat Pump Water Heaters

Heat pumps move heat from one place to another using electricity instead of creating heat directly for hot water. They are also used for cooling purposes. Because of this, heat pumps are more energy efficient than conventional water heaters.
